Hassocks Golf Club- setting for our inaugural CTSA Charity Golf Day

On 10th April the inaugural CTSA Golf Day -in association with the Sussex Carpet Centre- will be held at Hassocks Golf Course; and we’re now ready to announce the tee times and the groupings. Because of the rescheduling of the away game against Sheffield United for the previous night, we’ve put back the start time as we don’t want anyone falling asleep half way around! So the first group will now tee off at 1130 AM, with the others following at five minute intervals. Coffee and Bacon Rolls will be available from 9.30 AM- please try to be there an hour before your start time.

The groupings will work as follows. The schedule shows the player or club official who you will tee off with, then on the tenth tee there will be a swap. So, for example, those who tee off with Craig Brewster will then play the back nine with Jonte Smith, and vice versa. Those who start by sharing the fairways with Richie Barker will end the round with Sergio Torres- and so on. This is to ensure that everyone gets to play with a member of the first team squad at some point- and as they say, variety is the spice of life! If you think that’s complicated, the colour coded schedule should help- click below!

Some of the players still don’t have caddies, and we will accept the first offer of £20 for each of these, or, if you’re playing, you can bring your own caddy for £20. But the cut off date for this- email to comms@ctfcsa.co.uk please- will be Friday 5th April, as we need to finalise the numbers for catering! And if you’d like to play but haven’t yet made a booking, there is a strong possibility we’ll be adding an extra CTFC player so we have a standby list- please let us know as soon as you can.

Remember, all profits will be split between Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice and the CTSA Community Fund, so not only are you going to have a good time, you’ll be making a positive difference too.

When you’ve finished knocking the heck out of a little ball with a big stick, lunch will be served and the nineteenth hole will become the place of choice for all concerned, so you’ll get plenty of time to hobnob with your heroes. You may also be presented with your prize, which might be a trophy for nearest the pin, the longest drive, the most successful player or the most horrendous pair of trousers (we may have made one of these up). Or you may be lucky enough to win some signed memorabilia in our all star raffle.

Please make sure you are dressed appropriately- smart/casual, no trainers or football shirts!

We’d particularly like to thank our sponsors, Sussex Carpet Centre- visit them at the Denvale Trade Park in the Town Centre for the cheapest flooring prices in Sussex! And even better, get 20% off on production of your valid CTSA membership card! They can be contacted on 01293 541431 and their website can be visited at www.sussexcarpetcentre.co.uk/index.html. We’re very, very grateful for their support, which will benefit both the children in Chestnut Tree Hospice and those in our community who we support through our coaching programme.

We’d also like to thank CTFC for their support, Hassocks Golf Club for providing their facilities and 101 Trophies for providing (well, you can guess!). By the way, CTSA members get significant discounts at Hassocks Golf Club- please see www.ctfcsa.co.uk/friends-of-ctsa/ for more details.
