No trains into London, from Crawley, on Boxing Day.
Let the CTSA take the strain….
Book your Boxing Day coach seat to Leyton Orient early!
If you’re thinking of going to Brisbane Road on the 26th December, you might want to know that, due to major engineering works between 25th December and 1st January, there are no trains between Gatwick and East Croydon. Victoria Station will also be closed on Boxing Day. Bus routes will be arranged but these could add another 70 – 90 minutes to your journey.
National Rail has posted this statement:
Improvement work is taking place between Redhill and Purley, at Gatwick Airport and at London Victoria. The work between Redhill and Purley closes all lines from Christmas Day to New Year’s Day and is to replace a major rail junction just south of Purley.
London Victoria station will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
First Capital Connect – No trains will run on Boxing Day.
Therefore, you might want to book your seat on the CTSA coach to ensure you will get there to see the game!
We have decided to take coaches at different departure times to enable supporters, who want to enjoy a Boxing Day pint or dinner, to get there a little earlier than we would normally arrive.
We are planning on Coach 1 leaving the Checkatrade.com Stadium at 10.00am (provided we have enough people booked on) and Coach 2 will leave at 11.15am. Please book early by ringing/texting Tracey on 07843 124845 so we can gauge whether we run these separate departure times, or not. You can also book and pay for coach tickets from Sophie, at the Club’s Reception. Adult members £12.50, child £7.50, non-members £17.50.
We are still taking bookings for the trip to Bristol City on 13th December. Coaches will be leaving at 09.30am. Adult members £20.00, child £15.00, non-members £25.00.
