CTSA Chair notes from Stevenage programme

So here we are, another season begins with that excitement in the belly of what is to come over the next 50+ games.

With a summer of ins and outs we have demonstrated that we are a club that players use as a stepping stone to move on to a higher level. Some may look at that negatively but on the plus side it means that we will attract players who know what we can do for their careers if they work hard and do well in a Crawley shirt.

Harry & Warren haven’t waivered from the way they want to play football and I’m excited to see what they can produce this season. I’m particularly pleased that they have added some experience and ‘winners’ to the team which will certainly help the younger members of the squad.

The CTSA recently launched our new initiative; Reds Rollover. We have launched this to raise money to support the club financially. For just £5 a month you could win 30% of the schemes’ monthly income as first prize or 15% as second prize, with 10% going towards an annual rollover prize to be drawn in July of each year. If we had just 100 members the monthly prizes would be £150 & £75 respectively with an annual rollover of £600. This would enable the CTSA to contribute £2,700 to the football club as part of the fan representative on the board initiative.

Please visit this page for more information and sign up before 20th August to enter into September’s draw.

This summer, the club have done a superb job with the pitch and I’m sure we will all be watching closely to see how it stands up to the winter months. We also have a new ticketing system now making it easier for supporters to print tickets from home.

The biggest bit of news from the close season however was the shirts4kids initiative. Having seen Kelly’s excitement about this first hand earlier in the year, it was fantastic to see some of the lovely comments from the children and parents when this was launched. Let’s hope these children drag their parents along to a game or two this season and then keep coming back for more.

Finally, the team will be travelling over 8,000 miles up and down the country this season so it was great to see that GH Coaches are able to offer away travel to all of our games (except 2 overnight trips) for as little as £20 a trip. This will certainly support us all to get on the road and support the team.
