Statement from CTSA Chairman

Home | News
29th April 2022

On Thursday night, I had the opportunity to speak face-to-face with CTFC co-chairman Preston Johnson and share some of the questions and concerns that have been raised by supporters regarding the allegations and ongoing investigation surrounding the club’s manager John Yems.

Preston was open and honest, and engaged thoughtfully with the points raised. Following our conversation, I feel confident that the club is currently in the process of conducting a fair and appropriate internal investigation, with the sole goal of getting to the truth of the matter. The FA is also conducting its own separate investigation, and while the club has offered its full cooperation, CTFC has no control over those proceedings.

I know some supporters are frustrated with how long this process has taken, but I would urge all of us to remain patient and allow the appropriate process to take its course. While I know we’re all eager to put this behind us and move forward, this is a sensitive situation and it’s important for the club to handle it properly to ensure that the truth is established and all parties are offered the relevant privacy and support.
