Steve White (49) from East Grinstead might be a relative newcomer to the Crawley Town fan base but is certainly making up for lost time. We caught up with him during the long trip to Bradford. The former East Terrace stalwart loves watching his team at the Broadfield but has really enjoyed travelling with CTSA this season. After checking through the schedule he was staggered to realise that he been to 12 away league fixtures and the 2 FA cup adventures. It has taken him to the far flung corners of the country including Rotherham, Plymouth,Shrewsbury, Bristol, Bury and Hull.  He was also on the abortive trip to Bradford on 4th February. He explained, “I really enjoy travelling with Ken and the CTSA crew, there is a special camaraderie amongst the group and the atmosphere on the coach is electric. We have a lot of fun.”  Travel Ken said, “Steve is one our most regular customers and it’s always a pleasure to welcome him on board!”

Steve said,”the away games are now a massive part of my life. I only found out about CTFC last season when they were doing well in the Blue Square. I went to the Fleetwood match in late August 2010, saw a very exciting one one draw and started going on the regular basis.”  He made to trip to Tamworth for the promotion clincher but cites the Barrow three two win as his favourite moment from last season. He said, “the ground was packed and there was a lovely atmosphere when Mills headed in a late winner.”  He quipped, I realise I am a johnny-come-lately but it’s better late than never!”

Steve was really looking forward to trying out the new East Stand on Good Friday. He said, “the structure will add a new dimension to the Stadium and I cant wait to sit down for a change and have some protection from the rain.”

As to the final push for promotion he said, “it’s not just up to the players- it’s also up to the fans to get behind the team, home and away”.

Steve is really looking forward to the climax of the season and will be travelling to Barnet, the Daggers and Accrington Stanley.  He said, “it would be awesome to secure automatic promotion whilst on the road! What a journey home we would have!”

Hull, where a woolly hat is a must!
