Would you like to play for CTFC? Now’s your chance!

7th March 2013

Have you always stood on the terraces thinking, “I could do that”? Do you fancy yourself as a latter day Best, Moore or Maggs (or for our younger readers, Rooney, Ronaldo or Bulman)? Then it’s time to dust off your boots because following a request on the recent trip to Bury we have decided to see whether we can set up a Crawley Town Supporters Team. Our first match is scheduled to be on Good Friday against Stevenage Supporters Club with the 3G pitch adjacent to the stadium being the likely venue for an 11am kick off. Our very own Travel Ken will be digging out his short shorts to referee the match.

For those of you who wish to be involved can you please email Matt Putland at community@ctfcsa.co.uk asap so we can get an idea on numbers involved. Can you also advise of what position you prefer to play in? By the way, you only have to be willing, we’re making no judgements on able!

If you wish to play you must be a CTSA member as it is the intention that we will join the IFA League from next season and affiliation is one of the league rules. If you’re not yet a member, you can join until the end of the season for a fiver! There may be a cost to play the game but we will look to keep this to a minimum and you will be advised of this cost in advance.

If we have sufficient interest we will hold a training session on March 19th again on the 3G pitch as a likely venue.
