Happy New Year!

It seems a long while ago now since we set off for that lengthy trip to Barnsley for our first game of the SkyBet League One Season, on August 9th.

Many of us were wondering, as we always do, how we would fare this season. How would the new squad work together and where would we be sitting at this time of the year?  That day at Barnsley was a fantastic one: our first ever visit and a 1-0 win to set us on our way.  A lot has happened since then….    Let’s hope 2015 starts in the same way as the season!

It’s important that we, as supporters, get behind the team whether we are winning or losing, so we hope to see as many of you as possible attending home games or travelling with us in 2015.  We have extremely competitive coach prices and are a friendly bunch.  Even if you haven’t been before, we will look after you and I’m sure, after that first away game, you’ll want to go again.  If you want to know any more about future away games, visit our website www. ctfcsa.co.uk or call/text 07843 124845.

We’ve also been busy at CTSA headquarters and will be announcing some exciting fundraisers in 2015.  As you may or may not know, our fundraising is going towards the CTFC Community’s Kicks project which has been successfully launched this season, in Crawley, for the first time.  The idea is to engage with young people in the local area through football.  The scheme is supported by the Council, and the local Police, to help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.  So far, we have presented CTFC Community with a cheque for £1000 and our aim is to donate a larger amount in 2015.  Sergio also hopes to be involved in some future events, so come along, even if it’s just to see Sergio again!

After the announcement of John Gregory stepping down, due to ill health, we would like to send our best wishes to JG, with his forthcoming operation in January, and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

It is now time to get behind the new Manager, Dean Saunders.  We welcome Dean to Crawley and look forward to supporting him and the lads in climbing up the table to ensure our League One status next season.

Finally, we will carry on working behind the scenes for our members and if you have anything you want to talk to us about, please get in touch anytime at chair@ctfcsa.co.uk.

Have a prosperous New Year.
