Matthew’s First Away Day – Yeovil

Home | News

We had a special Crawley Town fan travelling with us on the CTSA coach to Huish Park on Saturday 7th, February to watch his very first away game, Yeovil vs. Crawley Town. Craig Bratt spoke to Matthew to see what it was like, going to football, through the eyes of a 5 year old!

The atmosphere was the best of the season so far and it was a shame we didn’t come home with 3 points but Matthew enjoyed his first away day and here are his thoughts……

Yeovil 2-1 Crawley.

Saturday may have ended in disappointment for the Reds, but there was at least one smiling face come 5pm as 5 year old Matthew Brown became the CTSA’s youngest ever traveller as he went to his first away day with Mum, Claire. We caught up with little Matthew for his views on the day.

Are you excited?

Very!! I was up really early! (Mum, Claire, soon added he was awake at 6am shouting “OVAL!”)

What do you think it’ll be like?

Nice and really really cool and fun!

What’s the score going to be?
10 million nil!

Optimistic! Who’s going to score?
All of them are going to score but mostly Ryan Dickson!
Matthew also added that he can’t wait to sing “There’s only one Matty Harrold!” and enjoy some Bulmers with his mum! Well, when in Cider Country…
