Easter- not just about chocolate! Barnet ahoy!

2nd April 2012

Well, Easter is almost upon us, and what an Easter it promises to be! Have you seen the League two table lately? Automatic promotion- pick any three from five. If we want to be one of the three, CTFC needs your support!

Firstly, on Good Friday CTFC celebrate the opening of their new East Stand and search for three points with a home match against in-form Crewe Alexandra. And Good Friday also celebrates the closure of the CTSA/CTFC Easter Egg appeal for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice. We have around 200 eggs so far, but you still have time to contribute- get your Easter Eggs to the club during office hours or drop them off the the Alliance cabin on Friday, and we’ll make sure they’re at the Hospice in time for Easter. We’d also like to say thank you to our travellers on the coach to Bradford last Tuesday, who donated £205 for the cause- we’ll be handing that over in cash, not using it to buy chocolate!

Then, On Easter Monday, 9th April, we head off to Underhill to play relegation threatened Barnet. This is a crucial game for both sides, will undoubtedly be played in a highly charged atmosphere, and if we’re going to win, we need to be there cheering on our mighty reds!

Coaches will leave the Broadfield Stadium at 1145AM, and the cost of travel is £12.50 for all. Please book as early as you can, as we need to finalise coach numbers- and we need to do that fairly quickly because of the Easter Holidays. Whilst you may be able to book in person on Friday at the CTSA cabin (and we’re also booking for Dagenham and Accrington), we’re already well into coach two, and if we are to book a coach three we need your bookings asap. Travel Ken awaits your call!

As always, there are a number of ways to book Alliance Travel. You can, of course, book directly at the football club during office hours. You can visit Travel Ken in the Alliance Cabin before and after our home games. You can also call or email Travel Ken on 07843124845, or via travel@ctfcsa.co.uk.

Along with our coach suppliers Clarkes of London, we’re committed to bringing you a service which is the height of comfort and reliability. If you’ve travelled with us previously you’ll already know that this includes very comfortable seats, lots of leg room, and free tea and coffee (and hot chocolate and, occasionally, vegetable soup!). We are also the only place that you can watch CTFC matchday DVD’s anywhere apart from in Steve Evans Office!

When you use the CTSA for your away travel needs, there are a few things you can be sure of:

1. An exceptional service.

2. The best prices we can possibly bring you.

3. That CTSA board members are dedicated only to doing the best for their football club and its supporters. We are all volunteers- even your coach stewards pay for their coach tickets.

4. Any profits made from any CTSA activity go directly to benefit your community and your club.

Thanks for your continued support.
