Obviously, watching Teddy Bears run may not be thought particularly entertaining. After all, with their short fat hairy legs they wouldn’t be particularly fast- though we expect they’d still be quicker than Chairman Paul when it’s his round in Redz! But this Teddy Bear Run is more Jeremy Clarkson than Winnie the Pooh. And it’s raising lots and lots of money for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, so it’s obviously well worth checking out.

From around 8.30 on Sunday morning a collection of classic and rather more quirky vehicles will be arriving at the Broadfield Stadium. Amongst others, there will be a tractor, a tuk tuk, a police car, a Beetle, a Ferrari, a db9,  a Mercedes Pagoda, a Porsche, a Ghostbusters car, and a Scooby Doo van. It is rumoured that a rather large Red Devil will also be making an appearance, but as he’s rather shy we’re not allowed to talk about it! After their drivers- and large cartoon dogs- have suitable refreshment they will then be setting off in convoy to Arundel, where they will be delivering Teddy Bears to the children at the hospice.

So you have two options. You can either come along to the Broadfield on Sunday morning from around 8.30 AM to see the vehicles and offer your support, or, if you like, you can get directly involved and join the convoy! Details from Westley (No, not the manager of Preston North End, before you ask!) on 07762260748 or westleywaller@hotmail.com, or you can follow the event on Twitter (@roadkillrally) or Facebook (roadkill rally).

See you on Sunday! Check out the wonderful work done by Chestnut Tree Hospice at http://www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk/
