19th July 2022

Throughout the 2022/23 season, as the Crawley Town Supporters Alliance, we will be providing you, the fans, a number of ways that you can get to the away games.

As we look towards the beginning of the season, our first away trip is the longest of the season totally around a 642 mile round trip, to the borders of Scotland, Carlisle United.

Coach

The number one way to get to the game is with our friends, GH Coaches. GH coaches have been around for a number of years and are the official CTFC travel provider for the club. So far 26 people have signed up and so places are going fast. It costs £40.00 which includes the travel and a buffet in Penrith. The coach leaves the stadium at 5:30am and it will be a there and back in the day. To find out more information about this, visit their website here: https://ghcoaches.co.uk/ >

Train

There are a number of ways and places that you can go in order to sort out your train tickets for the trip to Carlisle. The first place to go to get the cheapest tickets possible is to look into getting a Railcard. Now these aren’t available for everything but it may be worth looking to see if you qualify for any of them. There is a cost to this Railcard but you will probably make the cost worth it by the trip to Carlisle alone – One third off! You can look here to see what railcards are available

If you are travelling from Crawley, we would suggest that you get a train from Three Bridges as this will give you the most options to getting into London. Once you have pulled into London Victoria, you can get the tube to Euston and then a nice easy 3 hour 20 minutes train ride up to the highs of England.

Cost wise. The easiest place to get your train ticket from will be >www.thetrainline.com . At the time of writing it will cost around £150 return (£98 with a travel card). The other place you can go to is book.splitticketing.com. This is a great and cheaper way to get your tickets. All it does is split your ticket up into smaller journeys which makes your journey cheaper. 9 times out of 10 you can stay on the same train the whole way through from London to Carlisle. Looking at the split ticketing website at the time of writing it will cost around £120 return (£75 with a travel card).

Car

The 321 mile journey will take you around 5 hours 40 minutes if you were to leave from the Football Stadium. This journey will take you round the M25, followed by a journey up the M40, pass the M6 toll and then up the M6 before you then reach Carlisle. You can look at this journey here.

COME ON YOU REDDSSSSSSSS!!
